Today we practically spent the day at the Te Papa Museum, which is the national museum of New Zealand. It is basically all the Smithsonian Museums in Washington rolled into one. It is, understandably immense and we spent nearly 5 hours there. Of course, the fact that the day was full of very high winds and nearly constant rain, might also have been a factor.
I could go on and on about how the Te Papa has one of the best overviews of Maori history and culture, the history of European settlement, modern trends, etc, etc, etc. but I won't. I'll let the pictures speak.
